If money grew on trees...

Luxury wishlist

Ahhh swoon. Look at all those gorgeous products. If only there weren't bills to pay and cars to run and my mouth to feed.
A girl can dream though can't she?
I'm really lusting after this Illamasqua blush-up brush £28.50. I really enjoy quite a precise blush on the tops of my cheek bones and I really think this would be perfect for the job. I think it would be awesome for contouring too! I love getting new brushes and experimenting with them more than.. well most other things in life.
The blush I'm eyeing up at the moment is Nars Gaiety £21.50. I bought my first Nars blush last year, namely Douceur and I've been craving another one ever since. The texture is like no other. Gaiety is bright, cool toned and almost lilac. Right up my street.
I know everyone is going on about the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade £15 but I've fallen for the blogger hype. I just can't stop thinking about it! (That's pretty sad isn't it?) It's supposed to be like a gel/mousse for your eyebrows. I watched Alix from Icovetthee apply it in her latest video and her brows looked absolutely incredible! I'm really not happy with my brows at the moment and need something new urgently. (first world problems or what?) So I actually bit the bullet and went on to CultBeauty and 'duh-duh-duh' the dreaded 'Join the Waitlist'. Obviously now it's out of stock I'm pining for it even more. As soon as it comes back in stock, screw it I'm getting it!
Oh By Terry. My most lusted after brand. The Hyaluronic Hydra Powder £42 has been on my wishlist for the longest time. I love finishing powders so so much and this is meant to be the King of all powders! It apparently blurs pores and fine lines, sets make up beautifully and keeps you matte all day. I've read every review that exists on the internet about this stuff. I'm obsessed.  Could I ever shell out £42 for it though?
Probably.
I hate it when my eyeliner migrates down my face! (who doesn't?)  I have heard that By Terry eye products are the most long-wearing so I really want to try the Crayon Khol Terrybly (funny name). There's so many amazing colours to chose from too!
Thanks for reading!! Byee xxx

A big hello and January Favourites

Hello and welcome to Molly wishes.

I'm finally starting a blog.. Cue the hallelujah chorus.. I have been thinking about starting a beauty/makeup blog for a while now but just never seized the day/taken the plunge, (insert another cliché here).

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Molly, I'm 21 and work at a University. Beauty/Make up and the like is definitely my passion and I'm so excited to share my favourite products, new discoveries and other ramblings about beauty. S'gonna be fun :D

Anyway enough about me, let us talk about some beauty products that I've loved this month.
(bit of a fail of a photo but at least I tried)

I made a foundation discovery this month. Yay! What I look for in a foundation is good coverage, good lasting power and a matte but not too matte finish. If a foundation is too matte I just want to claw my face off. Yes Estee lauder double wear I am looking at you. The Max Factor FaceFinity all day flawless 3-in-1 foundation has got excellent coverage, a nice semi matte finish and has fantastic lasting power for a 'drugstore' brand. Although is Max Factor drugstore? I consider it at the higher end of the low end. Ok moving on. This foundation is totally underrated. I read a lot of blogs and watch just as many beauty youtubers from the UK and I've never once heard this foundation talked about. Although, I do believe that the much raved about Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous foundation is the same formula because aren't Max Factor and Covergirl like twin brands or something?
Suspicially similar name, claims and bottle!!

I love to apply this foundation with my Beauty Blender which is my next favourite. I've had this little guy for a few months now but I've hardly used it. This month, however, I have been absolutely LOVING this. I like to soak it in warm water, wring it out then bounce my foundation into my skin. Wow.. it just melts product into the skin and it's as if the foundation just becomes one with the skin. The only complaint, of course, the price. £16 for a sponge does sound completely crazy. I actually do think it's worth it but I definitely would not complain if I found a more affordable option. I have recently purchased the Real Techniques Miracle Sponge which I'm yet to try. I will probably do a comparison post of the two sponges once I've tried the Real Techniques one.

Another facey type product, my beloved Jurlique Rose Silk Finishing Powder. Finishing powders are probably my favourite make up product. My T-Zone can resemble a chip pan at times, especially during a stressful day at work and I rely on powders to set my make up in place. But it's not just that oh no. I feel like a good powder can really enhance the way your make up looks. This one is incredible for covering pores and it sets make up in place all day long. The scent is gorgeous too.

For skincare this month the real standout has been the La Roche Posay Effaclar AI targeted breakout corrector. I bought this because I had had enough of the monstrosities (spots) on my jawline. This stuff is a 'bang and the spot is gone' situation and if not gone it's almost gone. If you suffer from massive, sore under the skin blemishes I order you to try this.

Finally, my favourite of my favourites, the Buxom Lip Cream in Berry Blast. These incredible gloss/cream hybrids are sadly only available in the US but I snapped this up on Ebay for £7 including P&P which I was thrilled about! I can't put into words how gorgeous this product is. It tingles (in a nice way) and my lips feel plumped up with the most intense shine ever.  I may do a Face of the Day post of me wearing it so you can see the effect.

The thing that makes Mac lipsticks so special and why they are so popular is the layers to each shade. The colours are always so unique and unlike any other brand. I haven't stopped wearing Crosswires this month and here is my attempt at describing the shade. It's a little bit pinky, definitely some coral in there and even some red. See what I mean?  I feel a million bucks in this lipstick. Haha cheesy!

Thank you so much for reading.

Hopefully we will meet like this again soon :)
